Evermore Journeys began with profound loss and enduring love.
In 1999, we lost our firstborn daughter. In 2021, our son died suddenly as he was just beginning adulthood. These losses reshaped our lives and left us searching for a way to hold onto love and connection. We longed for something tangible that made us feel close to them.
After our son passed, my family and I created three-dimensional clay fingerprints to have something to hold. We shared them with his community who came to honour his life and invited them to carry them to places that felt meaningful, photographing them, leaving reflections, and adding to a shared map created in his name. What began as a simple act of remembrance slowly became a living, collective ritual.
As the journey grew, I wanted remembrance to be as gentle on the earth as it was on the heart. From that intention, the Evermore Memory Marker was created, crafted from biodegradable wood and designed to weather naturally over time. For my daughter, whose fingerprint I didn't have, I created an emblem, opening the door for others to honour their loved ones through a fingerprint or a symbol.
Each Memory Marker connects to a private Evermore Journey Map and tribute page, shared only with those invited. Together, these contributions form a living memorial, a visual story of connection, community, and enduring love. The Evermore Journeys process, from the creation of each marker to the shared digital journey, is thoughtfully designed and protected, ensuring this way of remembering remains intentional, ethical, and true to its purpose.
As Evermore Journeys evolved, so did our understanding of what people wished to honour.
Some journeys remember those who have died.
Some celebrate the extraordinary companionship of a beloved pet whose pawprints remain on our hearts.
Others begin while life is still unfolding, created alongside a parent, grandparent, partner, friend, or even for ourselves, as a Living Legacy Journey that preserves stories, places, and moments for future generations.
Though every journey begins differently, they are all rooted in the same belief: that meaningful places, shared experiences, and the stories they hold deserve to be remembered.
Not every journey looks the same. Some travel far; others remain close to home. Some unfold over months, while others continue for generations. All are guided by love and intention.
Evermore Journeys is more than a product.
It is a ritual.
A way to honour a life.
A way to celebrate a bond.
A way to preserve a legacy.
Our mission is simple:
To honour lives.
To celebrate meaningful connections.
To support people through grief, remembrance, and life's continuing journey.
To create connection where culture leaves a void.
If you are here, you may be carrying love in many different forms, remembering someone you've lost, celebrating a faithful companion, or creating something meaningful with someone who is still by your side.
There is no right way to create a journey, no correct distance to travel, and no timeline to follow. Whether a journey stays close to home or reaches far beyond it, what matters most is that it is guided by care, intention, and truth.
Evermore Journeys is my way of saying:
They mattered.
They continue.
We remember.
We celebrate.
We journey together.
