Yes. The technology behind Evermore Journeys™ is protected by U.S. Utility Patent No. 12,488,209 B2. The patented approach connects physical Memory Markers™ with a private shared online Journey so that meaningful places, photographs and memories can become part of a shared story.

Each participant packet includes two Memory Markers™. A participant may place both in meaningful locations, or may choose to keep one as a keepsake and place the other.

Your Journey includes two years of active use, during which time you can continue adding Life Events, photos, stories and Memory Marker™ Placements.
After the included two-year period your Journey remains available to view. If you would like to continue adding new content or Memory Marker™ Placements, you can purchase an optional Journey Expansion™ to extend the interactive features of your Journey.
Yes. There is no requirement to purchase Journey Expansion™ immediately when your included active period ends.
Your existing Journey Map™ remains available to view and share. If you decide later that you would like to begin actively adding to your Journey again, you can purchase Journey Expansion™ and resume adding new Life Events, photos, stories and Memory Marker™ Placements.
Your existing Journey remains available to view during the time you are not subscribed. If you renew later, you can resume the features included with Journey Expansion™ from that point forward.
Yes. Additional Memory Markers™ can be purchased in smaller quantities to continue growing an existing Journey.
The additional Memory Markers™ are created specifically for your existing Journey and connect to the same Journey Map™. Once received, they can be shared with family and friends or placed in new meaningful locations as your Journey continues to grow.
You can choose one design to personalize the Memory Markers™ for your Journey. Your design can be created from a fingerprint, photograph, handwritten signature, initials or monogram, suitable custom artwork, or a selection from the Evermore Journeys Design Collection.
Your chosen design will be adapted as needed to create a clear and meaningful engraving on your Memory Markers™.
The Evermore Journeys Design Collection is a library of professionally prepared emblems that are available instead of uploading your own artwork.
Fingerprint designs are included with your Journey at no additional charge.
Other custom designs are subject to a $100 design and setup fee. This covers preparing your artwork for engraving, creating a test engraving, providing a digital proof for your approval, and one proof revision if needed.
If additional revisions are requested beyond the included revision, any additional cost will be discussed with you before further design work is completed.
JPG, JPEG, PNG, SVG, DXF, BMP, GIF and PDF files. Simple, high-contrast artwork generally produces the clearest engraving.
Evermore Journeys™ will contact you with recommendations. In many cases, a higher-quality image or a simpler design is all that is needed.
Yes. You will receive a digital proof before production begins. For custom images a photo of a sample engraved marker will be sent to you for approval.
Yes. You must own the content or have the legal right or permission to use any content you upload.
No. Each Memory Marker™ is engraved with one personalized design to ensure the image remains clear and recognizable at the marker's small size.
We want you to feel confident about how your design will translate to your Memory Markers.
During the design process, you can view examples showing how original photographs, fingerprints and artwork are adapted for engraving on the wooden Memory Markers.
If you choose a fingerprint, photograph of a person or pet, or custom artwork, you will receive a digital proof to review and approve before your order enters production. Your personalized Memory Markers will not be produced until you have given final proof approval.
Memory Markers™ are made from natural wood and produced in small batches, so slight variations in wood colour, grain, texture, engraving and design placement may occur.
These natural and small-batch variations are normal and make each Memory Marker™ unique. Every order is reviewed for quality before it is shipped.
Every design is reviewed to make sure it will engrave clearly on the Memory Markers™. Reviewing it first helps ensure you are happy with the final result.

Tracking information is provided when your Journey is shipped so you can follow its delivery.
If your package appears to be lost in transit, please contact Evermore Journeys™. We will work with the shipping carrier to investigate the shipment.
If the package is confirmed lost or cannot be located within the carrier's investigation period, Evermore Journeys™ will replace your Journey at no additional cost. New Memory Markers with new QR codes will be produced and replacement tracking information will be provided when your new package is shipped.
For security and privacy, the QR codes associated with the lost Memory Markers will be deactivated before the replacement Journey is issued.
Yes, you may cancel your order before you have given final approval of your personalized proof and before your order has entered production.
Production will not begin until your final proof has been approved and your credit card payment has been successfully processed and is no longer pending.
Once both steps are complete and your personalized order has entered production, the order can no longer be cancelled.
Each Evermore Journey is custom-made and personalized specifically for you. Once production has begun, your personalized Memory Markers and materials cannot be reused or resold, so orders cannot normally be cancelled, returned or refunded.
If your package is lost in transit or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with the shipping carrier and, where appropriate, replace the affected items at no additional cost.
We understand that some Journeys are ordered for weddings, celebrations of life and other important occasions. While we will make every reasonable effort to prepare and ship your order within the expected timeframe, delivery dates provided by shipping carriers cannot be guaranteed. We strongly recommend ordering well in advance of any time-sensitive event.

Simply log in, open your Journey and select Customize. From there, you can choose different colours and shapes for your Life Events and Memory Marker icons to personalize how they appear on your map.

No. Life Events can document important moments and places on the Journey without requiring a physical Memory Marker™ placement.

Yes, where placement is permitted, safe and environmentally appropriate. Always respect local regulations and avoid drinking-water sources, sensitive or protected habitats, and locations where objects should not be left behind.
Because Memory Markers™ are made from wood, they will initially float. If you would like your marker to sink, place it in boiling water for approximately five minutes to help the wood absorb water. Keep the marker wet until you are ready to place it, as it may float again if allowed to dry.
Always use care around shorelines, moving water and other potentially hazardous locations. Never put yourself or others at risk when placing a Memory Marker™.
Because markers are placed in the world, they may weather, move, be damaged, removed or lost. The digital memory already added to the Journey Map™ remains part of the Journey.
No. They are designed to weather naturally over time. The associated photos, memories and stories remain on the digital Journey Map.
If an unused Memory Marker™ is lost, please contact Evermore Journeys™. A replacement marker may be ordered for an additional replacement and shipping fee.
For the security and integrity of your Journey, the QR code associated with the lost marker will be deactivated and a new Memory Marker™ with a new QR code will be created and linked to your existing Journey.
Replacement fees do not apply when a replacement is required because of an error or defect for which Evermore Journeys™ is responsible.
Yes. Additional Engraved Journey Keychains can be ordered for family members and friends either when you purchase your Journey or at a later date.
